Ha Jae, who’s contemplating death on the rooftop due to bullying, is facing a brutal reality in the Japanese manga (The Breaker: Eternal Force). A senior appears before him and suddenly pushes Ha-Jae off?! But, he wakes up safely in the Nurse’s Office in school. Ha-Jae’s retaliation against the bullying that the delinquents have started again ends in failure.
However, as the manga progresses, Siwoon appears before him yet again and coaches Ha-Jae to defeat the delinquents in one strike using his fist. Consequently, Ha Jae realizes Siwoon’s power and asks him to train to get stronger. Siwoon agrees to train Ha Jae to defend himself. During the training, Ha Jae discovers that Siwoon belongs to the Murim, a secret society of martial artists with supernatural abilities.
Subsequently, Ha Jae asks Siwoon to formally accept him as his disciple. Siwoon administers a test which Ha Jae passes earning him entry into the Murim. After entering the Murim, Ha Jae begins arduous training to master martial arts. Amidst the training, he makes allies and enemies in the Murim. Ha Jae gets embroiled in the power struggle within the Murim, specifically between the Sunwoo and SUC clans.
Ha Jae keeps practising to improve his skills. He takes part in various missions and competitions in the Murim. Though facing life-threatening situations, Siwoon always comes to his aid. Ha Jae’s continuous training and experience in missions transform him into a formidable warrior. With time, Ha Jae rises in power and gains reputation in the Murim.
Eventually, Ha Jae becomes a central figure who holds a critical role in maintaining peace between Murim clans. However, certain clans conspire against Ha Jae due to his power and influence. After a series of attacks, Ha Jae finally defeats his enemies restoring temporary tranquility in the Murim. At last, Ha Jae emerges as a supreme warrior ready to succeed his master Siwoon. Siwoon, proud of his disciple, passes the title of ‘Breaker’ to Ha Jae.
